HOW TO CLEAN WINDOWS

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

SOAP

BUCKET

SCRUBBER

SQUEEGEE

LINT-FREE CLOTH STEP

STEP 01 SOAP

Start by making a window cleaning solution. Squeeze about 2 tablespoons of Ettore Squeegee Off soap In a bucket containing 1 gallon of water.

STEP 02 SCRUB

Dip the scrubber into the bucket of solution and squeeze out excess liquid. Wash the edge of the window, and work toward the center scrubbing in large circular motions.

Starting at the top using horizontal strokes, squeegee off the solution overlapping each stroke by about 1.5 inches. Wipe the blade between each pass with a dry, lint-free cloth. Use your cloth to dry the edges of the glass when finished.

STEP 03 SQUEEGEE

Begin by “cutting in a dry edge” down the side of the window. Place the squeegee on the glass so that only an inch of rubber touches the window. This provides a dry edge to anchor the horizontal strokes that follow.

STEPS FOR HIGH REACH WINDOW CLEANING

HIGH REACH

Place scrubber on the end of the pole and follow instructions in STEP 02. Remember not to use more solution than necessary to clean the window.

Replace the scrubber with the squeegee. Position the squeegee at a slight angle and pull it across the top of the window “cutting in a dry edge” as described in Step 03.

Starting at the top, use vertical strokes to squeegee off solution, overlapping each stroke by 1.5 inches. Professionals “tap” the squeegee against the wet glass after each pass to remove excess water. Dry the edges of the glass when finished by wrapping your lint-free cloth around the tip of the pole.
